Sterlite Technologies, which designs, builds and manages smarter data networks for telecoms globally, today announced the formation of its Advisory Board with industry leaders Sandip Das and BS Shantharaju.
The Advisory Board will provide strategic guidance and direction on the company’s growth roadmap and focused capabilities in the highly evolving digital communications industry. Both Sandip Das and Shantharaju have experience in creating large customer and service oriented companies. Both are committed to work closely with Sterlite Tech in creating a smarter broadband infrastructure in the country.

Shantharaju’s CEO experience spans over 15 years with Indus Towers, GMR Group, Delhi International Airport and Managing Director, Gujarat Gas Company. He was the CFO of SmithKline Pharmaceuticals as well. Shantharaju is a Qualified Accountant and holds Master’s degree from International Institute of Management, New Delhi. He is an alumnus of London Business School.
Sandip is one of Asia’s most respected telecommunications professionals and an acclaimed Chief Executive. He is ex-MD of Reliance Jio, Group-CEO, Maxis Communications and Hutchison Essar Telecom (now Vodafone), India. He was one of the founding members of private telephony in India and was part of the group of individuals that founded Hutchison Max Telecom in 1994. Presently, he is associated with Analysys Mason as a senior adviser. Sandip has done his MBA from FMS, Delhi and holds mechanical engineering degree from NIT, Rourkela. He has completed Advanced Management Programme from Harvard Business School and figured four times on the Global Telecom List of 100 most powerful People in Telecom since 2010.
