In 2012, Mr. Pravin Agarwal, Vice Chairman of STL, established the STL Foundation with the belief that technology, when placed in the hands of communities, does not just improve lives. It transforms them. The Foundation began as a registered public charitable trust. A symbolic corpus. And a conviction that the same innovation driving STL’s business could be turned toward something far more fundamental-people. More than a decade later, that belief has grown into a strategic, impact-driven platform anchored in STL’s deepest purpose

Our Jeewan Jyoti Women Empowerment Initiative, launched in 2014, aims to uplift rural women through skilling, entrepreneurship, and economic self-reliance. The Program provides vocational training in tailoring, beauty culture, and computer education. Trained women are integrated into a production unit with established market linkages, self-help groups, and a supportive ecosystem. The production unit revives traditional crafts such as block printing and hand embroidery, empowering artisans to build sustainable livelihoods while producing for reputed clients – with products reaching markets both in India and abroad.
Anju’s life took a difficult turn following a serious accident that affected both her physical well-being and financial stability. Faced with uncertainty and a loss of confidence, she began searching for a pathway to rebuild her life. That journey led her to the Jeewan Jyoti Women Empowerment Centre. Despite the challenges she faced, Anju travelled nearly 60 kilometres regularly to attend training sessions – demonstrating remarkable determination and resilience. At the centre, she gained vocational skills, but more importantly, she found a supportive environment that helped restore her confidence and sense of purpose. Through continuous learning and mentoring, Anju gradually rebuilt her independence and achieved financial self-reliance. Her journey reflects the Program’s focus on building not just skills, but dignity, confidence, and hope.
Our Swasthya Suraksha Program is a flagship healthcare initiative dedicated to delivering primary healthcare, preventive awareness, and behavioural change interventions to India’s most underserved tribal and rural communities. Through a community-led, technology-enabled approach, the Program reaches marginalised geographies with a strong focus on tribal women and children. In FY 2025-26, AI-enabled diagnostic services were deployed at camp level, improving early detection of anaemia, malnutrition, and communicable diseases. The Program received the Indian Social Impact Awards 2025.
Anemia in tribal women across Gadchiroli and Nandurbar was long widespread and underdiagnosed. To address this, the Swasthya Suraksha Program delivers a structured four-month intervention: screening women in month one, providing iron/nutritional supplements and dietary guidance, and maintaining three months of continuous follow-up and tracking. If health doesn’t improve by month four, care continues until recovery. Operating year-round, this community-embedded cycle achieved a 10% reduction in anemia prevalence by the close of FY 2025–26, proving the impact of consistent, integrated healthcare.
Our RoboEdge Program empowers students from underserved and marginalised communities with digital literacy and future-ready skills in AI and robotics. This initiative goes beyond traditional education, fostering innovation and problem-solving abilities essential for success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution. In FY 2025-26, the Program was active across 3 districts, covering 12 schools and benefiting over 10,000 students.
When Dimple enrolled in the RoboEdge Program at her government school, she had never written a line of code or assembled a robot. Like many of her peers from Aurangabad and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, access to technology-based learning had been limited. RoboEdge changed that – offering hands-on training in robotics, coding, and artificial intelligence within her own school. Her dedication through months of practice and iterative problem-solving earned her a place in the team of twelve students selected to represent India at the Robotex International Championship 2025 in Tallinn, Estonia – one of the world’s largest robotics competitions. At the championship, Dimple competed in the Flock Race category and won First Prize in the Flock Race category, marking a historic achievement for students from government schools in India. For Dimple, standing on that podium was not just a personal milestone. It was proof that with the right opportunity and the right support, talent, when provided with the right opportunities and mentorship, can compete and excel on the global stage.
Environmental sustainability remains a core pillar of STL’s social impact strategy. Through afforestation, watershed development, and community participation initiatives, we contribute to ecological restoration while enhancing climate resilience in vulnerable communities.

Through STL’s afforestation and water conservation initiatives, communities in drought-prone regions of Maharashtra have witnessed tangible environmental improvements. Large-scale plantation drives, undertaken in partnership with local communities, schools, and forest departments, have helped restore degraded landscapes while improving biodiversity. With over 4 lakh trees planted and a survival rate exceeding 90%, these efforts are contributing to groundwater recharge, soil conservation, and long-term climate resilience. Community participation has been central to the Program’s success, creating local ownership and ensuring sustainable environmental outcomes. The launch of the STL Water Conservation Report by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Maharashtra further recognised the Program’s contribution to responsible water stewardship and ecological restoration
Our Employee Volunteering Program encourages employees to contribute their time, skills, and passion toward social and environmental causes. Aligned with our CSR and ESG values, the Program fosters a culture of empathy, collaboration, and community engagement, making employees active partners in nation-building. During FY26, employees participated in healthcare awareness rallies, environmental campaigns, STEM mentoring sessions, and skill-based volunteering initiatives, reinforcing STL’s culture of purpose and community engagement.
Together, these initiatives reflect STL’s commitment to creating inclusive opportunities, strengthening community resilience, and advancing sustainable development outcomes aligned with national priorities and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
