STL enables fast fibre connectivity with MyNet

Building on a trusted partnership spanning over 15 years, STL announced its collaboration with Mynet to deliver next-generation optical fibre solutions for Intacture — a data centre located in the ‘heart of the mountains’ of Trentino, Italy. The University of Trento is the implementing body and scientific leader of this project, which required a financial commitment of €50.2 million, of which €18.4 million was provided by the PNRR.

The latest from OFC 2026!

We recently concluded the Optical Fiber Communication Conference and Exhibition 2026, where the global optical networking community came together to exchange ideas, explore advancements, and shape what’s next.
Our R&D team engaged in conversations around evolving network architectures, scalability, and the future of Optical fiber innovation. They collaborated, shared perspectives, and stayed ahead in an industry that’s constantly pushing boundaries. Thet talked about four variables that everyone in the fiber optic industry seems to be chasing: more density, less space, less cost and less power. There were product demo of our MCF solutions along with our 6912F and IBR cables. Our CONCAT and MCF solution along with IBR received Lightwave Innovation awrds at the event.

Meet STL at TCEI Expo 2026

The TCEI Expo 2026 is where the telecommunications ecosystem gathers to share ideas, explore opportunities, and strengthen industry collaboration.
STL will be on the ground meeting partners, customers, and peers across the network infrastructure community. It’s a great opportunity to exchange perspectives and explore what’s ahead for connectivity. Visit Booths 102 & 104 at the Cadence Bank Center and connect with the STL team.

RoboEdge students at the Robotex International Championship 2025

Some wins are measured by trophies. Some by how far a child travels—for the first time in their life.
At the Robotex International Championship 2025, our RoboEdge students stood on a global stage in Estonia, representing not just India—but belief, access, and resilience.
These students come from 11 government schools across Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Dadra & Nagar Haveli, and Delhi—communities where many parents have never stepped outside their towns, let alone imagined their children competing internationally.
More than 6,000 students have been impacted through RoboEdge so far.

6912F - Maximum Fibre Density for Data Centre Backbone

Celesta 6912F solves the duct capacity challenge for hyperscale data centers, packing 6,912 fibers into just 32mm diameter using 200μm fiber technology.

Engineered for speed: intermittently bonded ribbons enable mass fusion splicing, while dry core design eliminates gel for faster end preparation. OFNR-rated for riser applications with deployment by blowing or pulling.

The result: maximize existing infrastructure capacity while enabling 800G+ AI workloads without adding new ducts.

Ideal for inter-building DC trunks, campus backbone, and high-count inside plant applications where space and installation speed determine project economics.

Available now in Base-12 and Base-16 configurations.

AI Data Centre advances at full speed

The digital infrastructure boom is continuing apace despite jitters in equity markets and fears of a “bubble”. The capital expenditure of the 14 largest publicly owned data centre operators globally is seen close to $750 billion this year, against a little less than $450 billion last year. They are procuring more energy than ever, while private investors are pouring money into AI companies. Over 23 gigawatts (GW) of data centre capacity was under construction globally at the end of September 2025, with about three-quarters of it coming up in the US, as per the latest estimates from BloombergNEF.

What the Global Risks Report 2026 really says about the urgency of environmental threats

Environmental risks continue to rank among the most severe global threats in the World Economic Forum’s Global Risks Report. There are, however, signs of a shift, not in the underlying reality of these risks but in how they are perceived over different time horizons.
