A pride moment for STL

Recently, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Minister of Education and Skill Development & Entrepreneurship, hosted a special interaction with four exceptional student innovators from STL’s RoboEdge program—representing Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Dadra & Nagar Haveli. These students were part of a larger delegation of 13 young minds who had represented India at the Robotex International Championship 2024 in Tallinn, Estonia—the world’s largest robotics festival—after emerging as winners at the Robotex India National Championship 2024. Joining this enriching conversation were senior education leaders—Shri Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, Department of School Education & Literacy (DoSE&L), and Shri Anand Rao Vishnu Patil, IAS, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Education—who lauded the efforts and creativity of the young participants and encouraged them to continue on their journey of innovation. From AI-powered firefighting robots to tech-driven entrepreneurial solutions, the innovations presented by these students showcased not only technical brilliance but also a deep commitment to solving real-world challenges

Telecom infrastructure equipment update

The global telecommunications infrastructure sector in mid-2025 is at a crossroads. After the initial 5G rollout boom, overall telco network spending has leveled off. Analysts report that worldwide telecom equipment revenues fell about 11% in 2024, and 2025 is expected to be essentially flat. All major segments (radio access, optical transport, core, etc.) saw declines last year except fixed broadband access, which held steady. Key factors include excess inventory, a challenging macroeconomy, and difficult year-over-year comparisons after early 5G builds.
