OptoBlaze is a plug and play solution for FTTH connectivity. The OptoBlaze Multiport Service Terminal (MST) is a device needed in the access network to quickly connect the Fiber Distribution Hub with subscribers. It is available in a 4-port, 8-port or 12-port configuration with or without preloaded splitters.

Eric Alston, North American design lead for Sterlite Technologies, introduces STL’s latest product — an aerial fiber distribution hub.

The goal of this product is to avoid pole attachments by mounting the fiber distribution hub on a strand.

Easy latches close and seal the product. The product is sealed to an IP65 rating.

STL offers left- and right-hand versions of the FDH. If you attach on a strand to the left of the pole, cables can route to the right — and cables can also come off the left-hand side when needed.

To achieve density, the Aerial FDH is offered in 144-port, 288-port, and 432-port versions.

Splitters are offered as 1×16, 1×32, and 1×64. The 432-port version uses a 1×64 splitter to maintain density. Density is supported by a stairstep panel design, push-pull tabs on splitter pigtails, and routing rings for fiber pigtails.

Two 32-position parking lots at the center hold unused pigtails until you move them into the distribution field. This version has ten splitter slots — a 288-port build needs nine 1×32 splitters.

Yes — the product can come from the factory fully equipped with splitters. A 288-port configuration is shown with 48 feeder fibers: feeder rows above and the distribution field below, on a stairstepped panel.
